NGAWANG ZANGPO
BIOGRAPHY
Ngawang Zangpo (Hugh Leslie Thompson) completed two three-year retreats under the direction of the late Kalu Rinpoché. He mainly translates sacred literature from the Shangpa Kagyu and Nyingma traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, at the request of Chatral Rinpoché, Lama Tharchin Rinpoché, and the late Kalu Rinpoché and Bokar Rinpoché. His published works include Timeless Rapture, Sacred Ground, and Jamgön Kongtrul's Retreat Manual. He lives at a meditation retreat center but can often be found on the playgrounds and soccer fields of the San Francisco Bay area, with his daughter.
