TULKU THONDUP RINPOCHE
BIOGRAPHY
Tulku Thondup Rinpoche was born in 1939 in Eastern Tibet. At age four he was identified as the rebirth of a great Lama named Konme Khenpo. At six he began his training at Dodrupchen Monastery, and after years of study attained the degree of Dorje Lopon (Vajracarya). He taught in Indian universities from 1966-1980, and from 1980-1983 was a visiting scholar at Harvard University.
Tulku Thondup has published several translations and original works of interpretation of Tibetan Buddhism, including Hidden Teachings of Tibet, Enlightened Journey, and Masters of Meditation and Miracles, under the auspices of the Buddhayan Foundation. His recent publication include The Healing Power of Mind (with Daniel Goleman) and Boundless Healing. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
