DAVID JACKSON
BIOGRAPHY
David Jackson is Professor of Tibetan Studies at Hamburg University. He is the author of A Saint in Seattle and A History of Tibetan Painting. He lives in Hamburg, Germany.
In researching Tibetan Thangka Painting, Janice and David Jackson traveled extensively throughout India, Nepal and America, studying Thangka painting techniques with master painters such as Thargye, Legdrup Gyatsho, and Wangdrak, and learning about iconography from Tibetan lamas such as Dezhun Trulku Rimpoche.
