THE DHARMACHAKRA TRANSLATION COMMITTEE
Inspired by the vision, commitment, and magnificent achievements of past Buddhist translators, the Dharmachakra Translation Committee is dedicated to making classic Buddhist literature available to modern readers in their native languages.
The Committee, which works under the direction of Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche at the Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal, was recently established to facilitate and coordinate the translation efforts of a growing number of skilled translators emerging from the international Shedra study program run by the Rangjung Yeshe Institute.
The Committee consists of a broad group of translators, editors, and graphic artists committed to the task of rendering Buddhism's literary treasures into English and other modern languages. Currently eight translators are working on various book projects.
