ANDREW BLOOMFIELD
BIOGRAPHY
Intrigued by things Eastern from an early age, Andrew pursued Oriental Studies at the University of Arizona, graduating with honors in 1985. For two years, 1983-85, he lived in the Tibetan village of Boudhnath in Nepal. During that time he helped translate a text based on an 18th century Tibetan pilgrim's guidebook of the power places of the Kathmandu Valley, and spent a year performing the pilgrimage.
Upon returning to the States, he wrote Learning Practical Tibetan (Snow Lion Publications), and in 1987 opened Infinity Books, a spiritual bookstore in Seattle. The bookstore soon expanded to include a mail-order business for high-end religious art, and a production company hosting lectures and seminars by Hindu saints and Buddhist masters.
After a trip to Baku, Azerbaijan, to purchase rare textiles from the people of the newly formed Soviet Republics in the early 90s, Andrew moved to Los Angeles to join a preeminent Vedic astrologer, with whom he lived and worked for 3 years.
Since beginning his own Vedic astrology practice, he has attracted as clients Academy Award-winning artists, Hollywood producers and studio executives, as well as Wall Street fund managers- people from all walks of life.
He is currently the exclusive astrologer for the renown beauty/style internet site http://www.gloss.com, and is also involved with writing and producing feature films for Hollywood.
