EDWARD A. ARNOLD

BIOGRAPHY

Edward A. Arnold is an independent scholar of Tibetan Buddhism who served for several years as President of the Board of Directors of Namgyal Monastery Institute of Buddhist Studies in Ithaca, New York, His Holiness the Dalai Lama's seat in America. During his tenure, work was begun on the Dalai Lama's new temple, Du Khor Choe Ling, which inspired Arnold to compile the volume As Long As Space Endures. He was instrumental in organizing the Dalai Lama's 2007 teachings in Ithaca, and has facilitated events fostering dialogue on interfaith discussion and the convergence of Buddhism and Science.

He has received teachings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Geshe Drakpa Gelek, Jhado Rinpoche and other geshes and lamas on a number of occasions, both in India and the United States.
