Kunzang Palyul Choling

Please join us in a new international relief effort to provide assistance and comfort to all those who are suffering.

Kunzang Palyul Choling (KPC), a Tibetan Buddhist Center for Study and Practice in the Nyingma Tradition, under the spiritual direction of Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, is contributing substantial amounts of food to help feed those people displaced by Hurricane Katrina and are working with local aid groups to provide assistance to those relocated to both Arizona and Maryland.

KPC has also sent 11 of our monks, nuns and lay Buddhist practitioners to Louisiana to assist in the rescue and caregiving of animals left behind in New Orleans. Working together with Best Friends Animal Society, which is currently based in Tylertown, Louisiana, we realized how important it is to partner with others to help as many sentient beings as possible.

We believe if Buddhists join together with the sincere motivation and intention to put compassion into action, we can truly make a difference in the world.

Through organizations and individuals partnering together and coordinating resources, we can provide aid and emergency assistance where it is required to help meet the needs of those affected by natural or man-made disasters.

We envision Buddhist Relief to become an independent 501(c)3 organization that provides compassionate response and outreach. Our mission is to bring together the generosity and loving kindness of Buddhists from every tradition to those in need throughout the world. We invite everyone, individuals and organizations, to join us in developing Buddhist Relief, and together we will work to alleviate suffering in the world.
