Sakya Centre Water Project in Rajpur India
Dear Friends,
The Sakya Centre is a monastic institution that was established in order to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of Tibetan Buddhism, and the Sakya Order in particular. Under the guidance of His Holiness Sakya Trizin, we have created in India a home for the Sakya Order of Tibetan Buddhism.
Through the hard work and dedicated efforts of our community and by the generosity and kindness of many others, the Centre now houses a temple complex, a monastery, the residence of His Holiness Sakya Trizin and a small hospital. The Sakya Hospital provides for the medical needs of the Sakya community, and for the local Tibetan and Indian communities.
Water is available only 1 - 2 hours per day and often is unavailable for days at a time. Clean and abundant water is most urgently needed for the hospital to be able to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene. It is also needed for the growing monastic community, many who come directly from Tibet.
Well water has been discovered beneath the Sakya Centre property. We plan to build a 50,000-liter holding tank in order to store and distribute the water effectively.
We invite you to become involved in our efforts to complete this project. One-hundred percent of your donation will be used for this project and your donation is fully tax-deductible.
