The Passing of Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche
 Venerable Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche
On June 19, 2010 Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche passed into parinirvana peacefully and beautifully at his home, Arya Palo Ling. All stages of meditation were perfectly demonstrated according to the teachings of the Buddha and Guru Padmasambhava, and as Khenchen Rinpoche himself taught for so many years.

Khenchen Palden Sherab was born on May 10, 1942 in the Dhoshul region of Kham, eastern Tibet, near the sacred mountain Jowo Zegyal. In 1967, he was appointed head of the Nyingmapa Department of the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies in Sarnath. He held this position for 17 years. Rinpoche moved to the United States in 1984 to work closely with H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche, the supreme head of the Nyingmapa lineage. In 1988 he and his brother, Venerable Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche, founded the Padmasambhava Buddhist Center, which has centers throughout the United States, as well as Puerto Rico, Russia and India.
