Dalai Lama Receives Overwhelming
Welcome From Well-Wishers

Dharamsala, HP, India (Phayul) - Hundreds of Tibetans and well-wishers holding traditional ceremonial scarves and burning incense greeted His Holiness the Dalai Lama as he returned to his exile home in Dharamsala. The 73-year old Tibetan leader arrived from the Indian capital, where he successfully underwent a surgery to remove gall stones at a private hospital.

Survey Results: Snow Lion Tops List of Buddhist Publishers
At the 2008 IABS conference in Atlanta, Georgia, Professor Charles Prebish announced that Snow Lion topped a list of Buddhist publishers, in his 2006 survey of 152 North American Buddhist Studies scholars. Asked what presses they publish their books with, Snow Lion was number one in the Trade/Commercial Press category. Snow Lion also won in this honor in Prebish's 1995 survey.
