New Translation Newsletter Light of Berotsana has launched a newsletter, Lotsawa Times, now available online at www.berotsana.org. Light of Berotsana is a Tibetan-English translation group comprised of Lama Chöying Namgyel, Sangye Khandro, and Jules B. Levinson. The mission of the group is to further the translation, study, and preservation of the Buddhist literature and philosophical heritage of Tibet at the highest standards of excellence. Light of Berotsana is committed to working with a broad spectrum of pivotal texts drawn from a variety of the Tibetan Buddhist lineages.

Lotsawa Times illuminates various aspects of the world of Tibetan-English translation in addition to providing information about the activities of Light of Berotsana. The newsletter regularly features interviews with translators, profiles of organizations and people dedicated to Tibetan literature, and educational pieces regarding Tibetan literature and scholarship. Additionally, the newsletter includes articles that address the process of translation itself and the fascinating issues that arise when one seeks to express Buddhist terms and perspectives in the English language.
