| Osel Dorje Nyingpo (ODN) announced that His Holiness the 14th Dalai
Lama will be visiting South Florida. The events are co-sponsored by
Florida International University and the University of Miami.
Events open to the general public include a talk on Sunday, September
19 (3:00 - 5:00 PM), by the Dalai Lama entitled "World Peace through Inner
Peace." On September 20 and 21 (9:30 - 11:30 AM and 2:00-4:00 PM) he will
conduct two days of Buddhist teachings on the "Instructions on the Garland
of Views," and a traditional Hayagriva Empowerment. This will be the first
time that His Holiness conducts these particular Buddhist teachings, which
derive from an important text that expresses support for all world
cultures, religions and races. This will be the last scheduled visit of

compassion as a means to peace."
The Dalai Lama is also scheduled to address the students, faculty and staff of each of
the host universities. The public talk will be held at the Office Depot Center located
at One Panther Parkway, Sunrise, Florida. The Buddhist teachings will be held at the
