Kangyur CDs

The Tibetan Buddhist Resource Center (TBRC), a not-for-profit organization in New York, has just announced the release of a digital version of the collected sacred scriptures of the Tibetans called the Kangyur. This great collection comprises 103 volumes, which are believed to be the direct word of Lord Buddha in his manifold manifestations.

The Kangyur is kept on the shrines of most monasteries, retreat centers, and in the homes of many Buddhist laymen throughout the Tibetan Buddhist world. The Kangyur that has been scanned by TBRC is the Derge Parpu edition, reprinted in India by H. H. the Sixteenth Karmapa. The 10 CDs which it comprises are packaged in an attractive case.

If you wish further information, please visit the TBRC website at http://www.tbrc.org or contact info@tbrc.org. The TBRC website contains over 2300 volumes of scanned Tibetan books besides the Kangyur. Your purchase of the Kangyur at just $195 for practitioners and individual scholars directly supports the scanning of further materials.
