TIBETAN TURQUOISE NECKLACE with GAU (Locket)

This traditional-style necklace, made of blue turquoise subtly graded from 1/2" in the back to 1" stones in the front, is enhanced by many touches of silver, including prayer-wheel-style bead and hexagonal clasp beads. In the center is a lovely stone-inlaid gau that opens to reveal a 1.7" diameter circular box for holding precious objects close to you--all in silver. The front of the gau features petals of turquoise surrounded by a circle of red coral and intricate silverwork, handmade by Himalayan artists. We were assured that the coral used in this jewelry is from ancient seas, mined in the mountains, and no coastal coral reefs were harmed. Only one of these available!
