MILAREPA THANGKA

Milarepa, the traveling yogi and ascetic, is depicted in the remote mountain places he wandered, accompanied by images from the stories of his life. The bowl in his hand symbolizes the healing nectar that purifies negativities. Behind him on his left side is a treasure vase symbolically holding the profound teachings he unearthed, in his years of deep study, meditation and analysis, preserved for future generations.

This authentic thangka is hand-painted by a trained Tibetan thangka artist. It comes framed and mounted in the traditional brocade cloth borders. The thangka image measures 18" high x 14" wide. The overal size is 42" high x 28" wide. (Size may vary slightly due to individual workmanship.)
