VAJRASATTVA WITH CONSORT Card(Tibetan: Dorje Sempa) Vajrasattva- meaning 'vajra-hero'- is a deity employed mainly in visualisation practices to bring about purfication of body, speech and mind- particularly the emotional afflictions of anger and hatred. He is depicted her in union with his white consort Dorje Nyema-karmo, who embraces her Lord holding a skull-cup and curved knife in her left and right hands. Vajrasattva hold a vajra before his heart with his right hand and a bell at his hip with his left, symbolising the union of method and wisdom. | |
