The double dorje motif is created with turquoise mounted high in silver, and surrounded by a circle of red coral, measured out with very fine silverwork. Made of silver, plated with 24-carat gold, this large gau is breathtaking. Mounted high in the center is a double dorje of coral and gold. Surrounding it are the eight auspicious symbols, each created of coral, turquoise, and goldwork. The back of the gau has a solar motif surrounded by lotus leaves, each with a piece of turquoise.
